The MAX-200-P is the latest version of the 6-axis industrial robot from the MAX series. With a load capacity of 200 kg and a range of 2.5 m, the MAX-200-P is currently the largest version in the MAX series. Even with a load capacity of 200 kg, the high accuracies of the smaller models are still achieved. Electric mobility undoubtedly has a promising future. With increasing demand for environmentally friendly means of transport and increased awareness of climate change, electric vehicles are becoming increasingly important. An important factor for the future of electric mobility is to reduce production costs in order to make electric vehicles affordable for a wider segment of the population.

The MAX series CNC robots are therefore ideally suited for manufacturing battery trays.

In order to manufacture the tubs, a number of processes have already been tested and also used in series production. Welded or die-cast aluminum tanks have not yet been finished after the base body has been produced. In both cases, pockets, surfaces, holes and threads must be machined in one or more steps. Due to the size of the battery trays, a suitable processing center is required, which is often associated with a large investment. The CNC milling robots from MABI Robotic are a cheaper alternative because energy efficiency is better and significantly fewer changes have to be made to the infrastructure, thanks to reduced space requirements and lower overall weight. A robot with precision that can match a machine tool: This inexpensive alternative to a CNC machine is suitable for numerous applications such as milling or application. It was developed by the Aargau-based company MABI Robotic AG, which uses control, drives, spindles, control cabinet and software from Siemens.

Have you ever seen a robot milling? That was exactly what was possible at the MABI Robotic stand. As the only exhibitor at the trade fair, a live milling show was presented several times a day. Spectators were able to watch the spectacle up close. Watch the result in the video.

At the SIEMENS AG stand at Prodex 2019, a mobile CNC robot application with a MABI MAX 100 was presented. The MAXRAIL travel axis was developed specifically for highly accurate application scenarios, so that frictional forces can be compensated thanks to a master-slave drive and output-side, linear and high-resolution length measurement systems. In this way, it is possible to create optimal conditions for growing robotic applications in the CNC sector.

MABI Robotic AG made a successful appearance at the world's largest industrial trade fair in Hanover. A mobile CNC robot application with a MABI MAX 100 was presented at the SIEMENS AG stand in Hall 9 at Hannover Messe. The joint project between MABI and the Fraunhofer IFAM Institute and SIEMENS AG impressively demonstrates how the high-precision robot kinematics of MABI Robotic AG together with the SINUMERIK 840 D CNC controller from SIEMENS will change the milling of large structures in the future.
